picked up this album earlier and going to show it to some friends tonight. cannot put into words how much i love this album, even just this particular song. arthur russell really was one of the best to ever do it.

Closing Time is filled to the brim with smokey piano ballads. It’s less experimental than some of his (phenominal) later work, but so consistently good, you know you can always throw it on when you’re looking for that particular vibe. noticed recently that if I am anxious or stressed if I just put my phone on do not disturb it helps immediately. probably does not signal anything good about my psyche lol
