Dialling those measurements in over time and learning to taste as you go will also make you a better cook
Just eyeball it, it’s not that serious and I can’t be bothered to wash all those little scoops! (*Unless you’re baking)

Measuring is for baking and people who don't know how to cook. Just try to intuit how much you'll need based on patterns. Nothing matters.

Salt little and early, so the salt has time to work its' way into the food. Always keep your knives sharp. Most of cooking is mood-based for me so I'm barely measuring, I balance through taste lol Oh and invest in sauces and spice mixes. Sometimes you forget that something has no heat and a dash of dried garlic pepper mix fixes it up faster than frantically chopping and stirring in at that late stage.

I'd say i f with cold chickpeas pretty heavily. You don't have to make a massive stew and boil em to death. Just throw them in a bowl with some sun dried tomatoes, some spinach, maybe some olive oil, lemon, bunch of herbs and enjoy. or maybe go crazy and add hummus for some chickpea on chickpea action cheap - good - i like

You can store them forever so you don't have to shop as often + it's cheap! Beans are good n versatile, tinned fish = amazing and canned tomatoes is literally a sauce if you just add minimal effort
