someone i used to know a decade ago just overdosed this morning.
our last convo was way back in 2017. we shared a love of film cameras and would endlessly nerd out over gear. I scrolled through our old messages, wishing that i'd done more keep in touch.
it got me thinking about all of the people who'd impacted my life at some point, and how many of those friendships had faded away with the years.
there was one friend in particular that came to mind. someone who was my best friend at one point.
and out of the blue, he texted me to catch up.
