At a social media marketing/influencer agency honestly it rips my soul out of my body but it pays the bills right…. it’s very cut throat and my bosses just gave me a 1 star review (even though I meet my deliverables and work 40/hrs a week and sometimes do video editing/motion design/graphic design) I do not recommend it Getting a salary for making Corporate Memes is absurd tho. Trying to at least laugh at that. Looking forward to the inevitable mental collapse 🤡 or to rise like a phoenix magically out of the ashes one day TBD

i have a kind of corporate graphic design job and i haven’t really done a project 4 myself since i graduated so i decided to have a little creativity session w one of my best friends (who is also a graphic designer) and we built a concept for a project we are really excited about 😛 safe to say sometimes we’ve gotta sacrifice our free time of doing nothing to start chasing the things we want out in the world.

it depends on your priorities as a person and a creative. if it's stability, go for in-house/agency, but keep in mind that progression is kinda slow in this field and there's little to no room for creativity (depending on clients/team you work with). in terms of growth as a designer, i've learned so much working in an agency setting compared to in-house. there's less hand holding too in agencies because everything is fast paced so there's that :/ i'm lucky that our creative director doesn't mind us doing freelancing on the side. so yeah graphic design has its pros and cons and you really need to have the drive, discipline, and the right network* (like any other profession i guess) to progress.

listen i got bit by the bug back in college when naked juice got in trouble for mislabeling their ingredients and i got a check for $2. but in the past year or so i’ve made $300 EACH from cases against zoom, tiktok, and t-mobile in which they misled consumers or misused our data. this is the last vestige of justice out there. companies are evil and they should be paying for it and they should be paying me!! at this point in my career i get targeted ads for these things because i actually click through the links but i can share some of the firms in the comments if you’re interested 👀
