they do so much for the overall atmosphere of winter. the soup tastes better, the blankets are warmer, the snow is shinier, the holidays (days in general) are more peaceful. everything has a bow on it, or at least a golden sparkle. i used to spend hours trying to find a specific Irish lullaby—never found it. what i did find was the undeniable correlation between "winter songs" and lullabies. the softness of their nature, bringing joy and the light-silk of a shivery morning. i wrote a winter song—well, i enjoy writing winter songs. if i can think of snow, i'm probably already a big fan of the song(s). i love listening to their peace and love. here is "Jolly".
