such a pleasant modern take on a straight ahead vocal jazz ballad that doesn't feel overly twee or kitschy to me + the strings (cello?) complement the vocals so nicely too! if u wanna be a hipster about laufey (who i love) u can haul this out
okay admittedly a little bit more wacky than clairo, but their latest album has a lovely take on jazzy indie pop with progressive and surprising song structures. Check out the second track As Above So Below
Feels so old even though it isn't. They run their shit through a lot of analogue equipment if you care about that whatever. Just has a warm feeling. If ur digging Clairo's Charm this could be a nice lil offshoot for u.
