i do not own these. they are insanely expensive. the pockets are too shallow. but i did try them on today and was ENAMOURED with how they fit (crotch curve does bunch a little though, i think i had on the women's version). i will likely buy them this week for the sole purpose of copying the pattern to make a pair with deeper pockets for less money and then returning them hehe

so this is the story i’d wanted my pants wider, i got some money around christmas and bought a pair of wide leg Wales Bonner pants and some wide leg corduroys from a french brand called Uniforme. eventually I found myself wearing the WB pants constantly but they were white so I thought I should find a way to get a similar fitting pant but darker one day i was walking home past tompkins and i ran into a friend skating in some acne jeans. i went home and did research and found the 1989. week later i was on holiday for spring break in paris to visit my aunt and my friends there, and made an investment to save money bc it used to be much cheaper in europe anyway these jeans were even more extreme than my WB jeans and i loved them so much, but the denim quality was mid and the crotch blew out in like 8 months of just about daily wear excluding most of summer but i used these as a base for trouser patterns many times and will never get rid of them for what they meant to me

- long rise with crotch curve cut on bias so they sit nicely on hips with some breathing room below. prob about 14” - long zip fly - slightly big in waist, just enough to wear comfortably with or without belt & have room for fluctuating weight changes throughout day - pretty deep front pockets. coin pocket doesn’t matter. all front pockets fully riveted - deep-ish back pockets - WIDE cut especially in the thigh, should not be feeling fabric there anywhere near my skin - slightly longer length, enough to poddle on shoes some but not have crazy heelbite - outseam curved a bit especially around the hips to have some nice drape & shape - some taper with about a 10-10.5” leg opening - double roll 0.5” hem, nothing too thick but substantial enough to sit on shoes with some weight - yokes, centre seam, and inseams all properly flat felled, idc if it’s by single needle or by fell machine just don’t fuck around overlocking & staystitching - more rigid denim, 12-16oz, that will break in with time is preferred, but exceptions can be made for a special denim. our legacy made vast cuts in “forever blue” denim that was this really flowy chinese fabric treated to never fade, that was sick thank god i know how to make these (pictured) because if i didn’t i’d be pissed off constantly by almost all jeans. only off the rack ones i like for myself are fadepants or acne 2023, and i don’t like acne’s denim quality. our legacy is good for people who care less than me but want a good wide straight cut that’s comfy and wearable for anyone at all ages, the vast cut and third cut are what i’d look at there

just got my second pair. perfect comfy slouchy jean. so soft and so stylish, as someone who usually wears ““trousers“” check out poshmark for resale, I wouldnt / haven’t paid full price for these ($230ish is insane, even tho I love them). You also should downsize because they’re oversized!!

leaves you susceptible to dating someone for too long because they play a role rather than it being about who they are. if you go in open to every situation, it will play out as its supposed to naturally (sometimes with a little nudge)
