this website is full of people recommending (mostly) great things, sharing ideas, and things they love. i logged onto twitter and immediately feel horrible so i switched tabs back to here (and yes i am using desktop!)

I kinda stopped using this recently and it reminded me how bad social media really is like seeing so many stupid takes and just genuinely annoying people I think I’m gonna delete twitter and just scroll through here cus god is it refreshing to just see people happy and recommending cool things and talking about little details in their life

honestly feel i'm whispering this into a little hole right now but when i feel sad or stuck and i come on this website everything feels better, it's just nice to see everyone enjoying life and enjoying music, films, activities and sharing it all with each other, it might seem obvious but there just aren't that many places on the internet that i feel like can inspire you to do things off of the internet. it makes me feel like my brain can slow down and it doesn't matter so much the decorations of who i am or what i do, i can just see life happening in all the recs and it makes me feel happy i am alive and everything feels a little more poetic and then i listen to awesome music while i am at my office job

Something I’m realising as I spend more time on this platform is how nice it is to see optimism online for once. People helping others, and giving advice to enrich life. Because life online doesn’t have to be about staring at depressing headlines, it can be about learning new things! I used to be on Twitter all the time, but since I got this app I’ve used it a lot less - I’ve been on this app about 3x the amount of time I’ve been on twt this week. And I feel much better for that, as there’s no more doomscrolling.
Also I love how like the early internet, this place is half cat photos. As it should be (I am totally unbiased…)

oh my god. this is bonnie. she is a 7 year old dappled dachshund, and an absolute angel. she wont stop kissing me and wants to be in my arms at all times. she is available in NYC through pupstarz rescue and i imagine she will get adopted fast, so you should apply to adopt her right now.
