both camp but only one is camp proper and the other shows their ass several times. I love seeing child stars age with me. It helps me understand the concept of time which is always changing and getting faster 😵‍💫

My go-to since childhood. I love the “going to camp” vibe at the beginning. I love how much I hate the step-mom every time and adore Hallie, Annie, their parents, and Chessy. The music is amazing. It’s simply the best.

I think this is a good cross section of my favourite films— Frances Ha and Worst Person are really incisive portraits of being in your twenties; Where The Wild Things Are is one of my favourite movies about childhood— like many Miyazaki films, it features children but isn’t a children’s movie; and Kramer Vs. Kramer is such a perfect showcase for Dustin Hoffman and Meryl Streep— all excellent feel something movies.

first I was like she’s just like me :) and then I was like wait… Also HBO Girls almost every time Marnie talks and in a lot of Hannah moments too, unfortunately for both. Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me was really grounding for me when I watched it as a teen because of how it depicted the alienating experience of secretly suffering trauma in your household (not sexual for me to be clear) and the way that can cause you to spin out, self-destruct, and hurt the people who love you.
