Also have to put one out for Jackie. It's so haunting and elegiac. It was so smart to just zero-in on what was essentially the defining moment in her role as First Lady. We can never really *know* someone through a biopic, and the filmmakers know this. Jackie is about the myth of Jackie herself, the ghosts of history, and the power of a narrative. It's also gorgeous if spooky to live in... the Mica Levi score, Natalie's performance, the 16mm film cinematography. I feel like this film should have received more love, but culturally we seem kinda over the American President films...
