I prefer using shoe laces instead of actual hair ties for my hair. makes tying it so much easier especially because of how thick my hair is.

Learning how to tie your hair without hairbands

Finishing your small braids with some sewing thread looks nicer than using elastic bands imo. Additionally it just feels cool to know how to tie my hair like this.

long hair as an accessory

this is the longest my hair has been and it has been helpful to adding to/completing my outfits with minimal effort :p as a person who dislikes wearing jewelry this is the best i can do! what better than something that is semi-permanently attached to me to serve as natural filler for the space left empty on my décolletage…

standing by the same window every day and paying attention

I can’t tell you how many people I’ve come to recognize from them walking past the window of where I work every day. Some of them I have a rapport with. Some wave. Some don’t even know they’re in my life. Sometimes I see them in other places in the city. It’s kind of sweet, it makes the city feel small
