i’m sort of terrified of driving in chicago so unfortunately ive been here two years and have only rly seen the city,,, which is wonderful but i am desperate to go hiking somewhere, visit a flea market, or like some hole-in-the wall diner somewhere remote. i think it’s important to get a sense of ur location in context and i really miss the ability to take a little day trip on a whim!
wish there were like a senior citizen day trip club for all the carless chicago ppl who have ever typed “teak” in the facebook marketplace search bar hahaha

sometimes. i‘m over the bureaucracy of the home groupchat trying to divvy up all the housework exactly as it was caused. they’re not gonna ‘get used to me doing it’ if i just sort out the mess one time. we’re all trying really hard somewhere in life
