I don't drive so I walk a lot and treat shoe purchases as if I am buying vehicles. I have acknowledged this week that I now have every shoe I will need. I have tried and tested many many many kinds and brands and these are my findings Trainers: - For day to day, city walking etc = Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 (I have walked 15,000 steps in these and felt nothing) - For longer distances, when you need a chunky sole, rain etc = Adidas Astir Sandals: - Clarks (I just got the Alda Cross sandals and wowww) Boots: - Vagabond (beautifully made, comfy, great styles) - Fly London (I wore these for ten hour bartending shifts and they were super comfy) - Skechers (mostly hideous but they have squishy sole walking boots which are peak comfort) Heels: - I have done a lot of research here and the way to find walkable heels is to look for the positioning of the heel. If the heel is directly under the heel of the foot that's good, if it's right at the back that's bad. It's all about the weight distribution. - My favourite nice heels are from Aquazzura, my second favourite are from H&M. Loafers: - Gucci win for both heeled and flat loafers - Marks and Spencers in second place for chunky loafers Slip ons/clogs: - Birkis by Birkenstock - bonus round: I've loved every pair of sliders I've ever met
