Wake up babe, Chet Porter just dropped his first real body of work let's gooooo!!!
Listening to this album feels like quitting your soul-sucking corporate job to go travel the world instead. It feels like finally living life the way you want to live, filled with new experiences and seeing what the world has to offer.
Not to mention that the production is absolutely killer.
The sound palette is fun, bright, colorful, magical, playful, curious, and evokes the sense of childlike wonder and euphoria. It's also diverse with moments of house, trap, ambient, indie, prog, etc but it's so cohesive and easy to listen to it all in one sitting. This is such a fun and enjoyable electronic album and it would go so crazy live!!!!! I wanna dance!!!!
Just check if you vibe with the intro track "Wake Up" as it does a great job as an opener introducing you to the sounds and vibe of the album :-)

After the weird ass shit that was The Idol I became rightfully scared of The Weeknd and kept my distance lmao
But this album? Where do I begin?! This album right here is a MOVIE (quite literally with it's 1 hour and 30 minute runtime)
There are no skips? There are no bad songs?
I don't know how the hell he did it, but he's magnificiently encapsulated everything that makes his music so compelling, flitting through grappling with trauma, the darkside of fame, heartbreak and his struggles with it all. The Justice, OPN and Mike Dean production just adds to the greatness of this album.
I really need to let this one marinate but notable mentions so far include Sao Paulo, Cry for me, Opening Night

I filed a complaint with a bunch of receipts to my city's rent board last month after my landlord notified me of another increase, and turns out she was in violation of increasing rent within 12 months following a previous rent increase
The city just told my landlord to reimburse me the excess rent, and my current rent must remain in place until next March for her to be in compliance (she wanted to raise it another 10% in October lol)
