I love visiting this park whether itโs clear and sunny or gray and foggy. Different vibes but always beautiful with the iconic rocky coast.
The waves were pretty big today so it was a pleasure to take in the sights and sounds of them crashing in their ebb and flow, washing over the rocks, receding back into the ocean, rinse and repeat.
Itโs already breathtaking to be by the ocean in all her beauty and vastness and to be reminded of how small we really are. Rocky coasts like at Two Lights also offer that feeling of smallness in a temporal sense, as we only witness an infinitesimal moment within the grand timeline of coastal erosion, while sitting on the rocks that have been shaped and continue to be shaped by the ocean.
Anyways, highly recommend visiting if you happen to be in southern Maine, healing is only a 20 minute drive from Portland :)
