So he mostly did ambient music (he also helped with created a subgenre called lowercase which is really quiet music and uses all sorts of different instruments to create that extremely quiet sometimes barely noticeable sound) but he also made art and other things. I remember seeing that he was in a punk band during the 1980’s but he got started with making ambient music with the stage name in be tween noise and did all sorts of music for installations in public libraries and museums and made art himself (there’s an interview he did for art21). I remember just being completely blown away by his music in middle school and he was one of those musicians who just changed how I experience music. He unfortunately passed away last year but so much of the things he made are available online (including on his website) and I just hope more people get to know who he was. The song I’ve linked by him is “winter couplet I”
