i.e. zoos, train yards, beaches. here is one called “fish doorbell” my friend showed me recently where if you see a fish, you press a button, and it notifies an actual human dude to open a door to let the fish go through. Most of the internet is designed to rapidly move your attention from one place to another, so these kinds of very slow websites can feel like an act of resistance.

Kris (from Naive Weekly)- This defines and maps the landscape of the ‘small’ web. This map highlights the projects and ideas that shape it. The result is a beautifully crafted site that offers a visual taxonomy of different ‘types of websites,’ along with a wealth of links to fascinating, personal, and often arcane corners of the internet. These digital spaces are curated by strangers who simply enjoy creating and experimenting online. Have a click around and see where it takes you. Personally, I’m drawn to the feral web this year; it feels fitting.
