recently i realized i don’t need as much sleep as i thought i feel totally fine with 7ish when previously i was convinced i needed more in the 8-10 range i wake up feeling tired either way so why not get a few hours back in my day?

Might sound like the most obvious thing in the world but over the past month i’ve attempted to get as much sleep as possible and it’s changed my life. I thought i could run on 6 hours. I can not. Sometimes you’re an 8 hour person. You need to own that. I am happier, quicker, more positive. Yeah maybe I am missing out on anything cool happening between the hours of 10:30pm and 6:30am midweek. But who cares!!! I am rested!

I recently came to the realization that I don’t actually like coffee…… even though I bought one almost every day for several years. It’s certainly not because it helps me wake up and stay energized, I’m the same when I have coffee and when I don’t. Now I have a few extra dollars every day to buy something silly.

Just one night on a hotel bed is healing. I think all the best sleeps of my life have been in hotel beds. As I thought about it more, I either have a terrible bed (it’s a memory foam) or it has sucked in every single one of my problems over the years and now feels like it.
