Truly nothing better

Start slower, alternate your drinks (I would avoid beer to start because it will feel heavy in your body all day) with water, and try to keep a couple pubs with kitchens on your crawl/party list. I would keep my makeup light/nonexistent (lipstain, mascara?) so that as you’re sweating and having a good time, you don’t have to worry about touching up or waking up with clogged pores the next day— the worst way to start a morning after is feeling like your skin is sticky and covered in last night’s cosmetics. I might also wear a romper/overalls— dress for comfort, and dress in a way that you feel good letting loose and don’t have to worry about losing a sweater as you get hot, or having another eager partier reach for your skirt without thinking. I would schedule check ins with your friends— just a quick “we got in at four, meet in the living room/at the bar at 5:30,” that way you can wander off a little but you know you’re looking out for each other, and then set phone alarms. And have fun! You’re in your third year, you have a sense of how you like to drink, you’ve planned well and you’re going to have so so much fun!

play dress up with your friends at home, put on outfits that make you feel CrAzY, go to your local dive and play *one* game of pool as a team and take your time playing it while milking *one* drink each, run out of the bar like a school of fish in fabulous dresses, buy pizza, go home take off pretty fabulous outfits and eat pizza together in your undies to not get grease on 1920’s silk (but also to be flirty cause it’s 2024 and we’re all bi and we’re all fucking our friends get with the PrOgRaM) everyone puts on their normal clothes again, big kisses and hugs goodbye, in bed by midnight for beauty sleep 💋

These are those unplanned, worn-in trails that come into existence from consistent use over time. I like how they represent a record of the way humans and animals interact with their environment, with some being wide and well travelled while others are overgrown and don’t see that much use; each one has a story! I think they’re a cool example of the ways in which we unintentionally shape nature while it shapes us right back. So take that desire path and push back against infrastructure imposed upon you (if you want). I also just think Desire Path is a beautiful combination of words.

Giving my favorite clothes the justice and honor they deserve by wearing them until I literally cannot anymore (or maybe I’m just stubborn)
