Each of my bags I take grocery shopping with me tell a story, usually of a time I forgot to bring enough bags. I got my three standbys over the course of living in New Hampshire. I am fond of them.

Don't get me wrong. They can be practical and I'm sure at some point I'll have to use one in some other context that isn't buying groceries. But I'm tired of people who treat it like it's a statement piece in fashion. They ruin their outfits with it and they try (and fail) to manipulate me into thinking I need it. It's very ugly. I'm so sorry to the people who use it genuinely thinking it looks good with their outfit. ๐ญ Every time a person is trying stuff on in a video and they finish it with "of course my iconic tote bag couldn't be left out" or something like that, a fairy dies.

i tend to save my good underwear for special days and parties and first dates. i also tend to save my stickers and expensive perfume and contact lenses for the same reason. but regular days deserve to feel good too
