been being especially social and hanging w legends of all types this week. the Thing I clock immediately about anyone is how generous their spirit is. Just got reminded that I was on tour w a band and josephlacy gave me a fresh pair of socks 2 years ago, it was simple but bro I needed socks and now I’ll fuck w him for life.

what are your thoughts?
i agree to a certain extent. it depends on the delivery of the question as well.
most of the time you can tell if someone is genuinely interested in who you are as a person. asking about somebody’s job can provide a lot of insight into a person’s interests and general character - i think it’s fine for your job to be an aspect of your identity.
i could also tangent into why capitalism may have an influence on why this question is asked so frequently..
i do find myself struggling with gauging the intentions behind this question sometimes; which often makes me less emotionally open and usually filters a potential friendship into a professional/transactional relationship immediately.

the perfect third place. love the fun chats afterwords. nobody is really left out of conversation bc we all just experienced the exact same thing in unison. just an exchange of thoughts, feelings and ideas.
also a place that kinda forces you to completely sit and focus in on what’s in front of you. something i think most of us forget to make time for.. especially if you are someone like me, always on the move and maybe always a little distracted.
what movie will you be watching at the theatres next? maybe i‘ll watch it too and we can have a chat about it all on the virtual plain :)
