i was wandering through town after my shift the other day and saw a wine shop that was advertising a monthly book club/wine tasting in the window. since it was going to happen like 2 days later, i haven't had time to read the book yet (it sounds really good though, so I'm waiting for the library to have another copy) but decided to sign up! book clubs and wine tasting are both things that i've never done but it seems like a fun way to spend a sunday evening!

It’s Friday night and I’m off work late with no plans but I felt like being out in the world, even if for a moment. Turns out, a low stakes glass of orange wine tastes great when you’re waiting for a $10 burrito platter from down the street.

this is how you find love. i used to go out dancing by myself because i felt like i could dance more freely around strangers than my friends - i didn’t want to embarrass myself in front of them. but i’m trying to let that go of that now and allow myself to falter around my friends and let them love me anyway.
