read it over a few days in the summer- and its set during those hot months! ikinda like middle-aged women musings but i found the story kinda cinematic and quite compelling bc its about this rude annoying artist satying in the narrators marsh land. and the narrator is fun ny.

working in publishing means I use my discount to get everyone books as birthday/holiday gifts, and turns out it is SO fun selecting books for everyone based on their interests and loves and reading habits!! I think even without a discount this is a fun way to keep gift prices low without losing a personal touch 🩷

My fave cartoonist. I love so many cartoonists dearly but his books are what pushed me to dive into the genre as an adult. Personal faves are Leaving Richards Valley, Sticks Angelica, and Brat. He writes such distinct characters, the way he draws is so inventive, and every book of his is a perfect sad/funny/often-dystopian combo.
