Mine has lasted years (knock on wood). A lot of people associate them with their chunky schoolbags but they also have more minimal designs for their crossbody bags.

i love my Want Les Essentiels tote bag, it's casual yet classy and very sturdy. it's in between a regular tote and a purse. i've had it for 13 years and it's still in very good condition. they don't sell the model i have anymore though :(
i also use this random huge uniqlo u messenger bag (with just a zipper, no flap) whenever i want to be prepared and able to put anything (cardigan, books, table top games, ...) in my bag. i think big messenger bags are pretty stylish and trendy, it's not a purse but still maybe worth looking into,
and i like Susan Bijl bags.... (the new shopping bag) (slightly elevated tote bag) (gen x / millenial aesthetics but im old so)

Idk thereโs something cute about their stuff and I always feel like itโs a more fun trip when Iโm carrying it through security lol with the bright colours etc etc
Also my Kipling carry-on has withstood sandstorms, typhoons, monsoons etc. and is still going 8+ years strong! It makes for a great travel bag. Havenโt tried their luggage but have heard equally great things ๐ฆโจ

They have a lot of designs, many colorful. And despite the whimsy and quirkiness of some ot their designs, these are Durable. My camera sling I bought from them is a decade old and is still going strong. Anyway, I linked to a smaller one that I think fits your needs, but poke around their site and see if anything strikes your fancy.

This is what I call it hahahah made by mums everywhere but the greased up version is sold along stalls in Mumbai. Two regular slices of white bread, buttered, and the middle filling is cream cheese with red onions, coriander/cilantro, tomatoes and some minced chillis. All veggies chopped mini cube size so they blend with the cheese. Toasted crispy.
