i'm learning about building systems for my architecture licensure exams haha.
it's honestly so fun to make small talk with the construction workers in your neighborhood or the handy man in your building. like "hmm... you installing some control joints huh??" or "soooo.. gearless traction elevators huh.." and although i don't know as much as them it's fun to have a general idea on what's happening !!

my friend is deep into BTS fandom and I volunteered to be educated—she’s literally giving me a series of lectures on Marco Polo and sending me music and YouTube video homework and it is so. much. FUN 🥰

i was at a party with my parents, i was maybe 9. it was at their friends house, she had been running an illegal day care in her back yard during the summer. it was one of the those parties were all the adults get drunk and the kids get to run in the neighborhood free. we had been playing man hunt all night, it had just turned from twilight to true darkness. i laid in the field behind their house catching my breath with kid toys littered all around me. one of the older girls at the party came around the house and laid down next to me. we talked about the different people at the party, who our parents were, ghosts, the stars. she got up and i followed rejoining the game. i dont remember her name or face but i remeber the feeling.
