I’ll never fully give up morning showers but physically, mentally, and emotionally a shower before bedtime is incredible. After a rough day, after a great movie, after a full day of walking around, after the bar, after yoga, after smoking a joint, after dancing all night, after a long drive. I am taking a shower to process it and get ready for a big sleep. The pillow case just feels different.

I work in person in a very socially demanding job & commute by walking so I’m always wiped when I get home and just want to lie on my bed but I’ve found if I take a little edible and hop in the shower with a candle and my evening shower playlist within 30 minutes of getting home it transitions my brain into home mode and then I try and do some cleaning or journaling or I’ll cook up a good dinner. i have tried a lot of things but the process of a shower is the most useful of a mental and physical prompt to my brain that it is Relaxation Time and listening to music usually gets me in the mood to be creative or to do some tidying

Emerging from a coccoon of long work days and little sleep. Taking a beautiful hot shower then sitting in bed and blissfully drifting to sleep. Beautiful.

showering, half-drying my hair, then sleeping makes my hair look good in the morning idrk how, but that's a main reason i do night showers. if i shower during the day, i like to (but don't always) do a polar plunge before a shower and the salt has the same effect. a good bath with some nice music, maybe some incense? always good to do every once in a while
