getting really stinky and then taking a shower

sleep in a tent and climb rocks and hike and sweat in the high desert for 3 days and then take a shower with soap/shampoo/conditioner you borrowed from the girl camping sorta near you (neighbors) and experience something magical. getting dirty is so fun, cleaning up after feels divine. these damn simple pleasures get me every time.

roll the dice

my husband and i have a white board on the fridge where we keep a list going of twenty movies that we want to watch. when it's time to watch a movie we roll a twenty-sided die and watch whatever number it is. then we alternate filling the spot we emptied. it's complex but it's eliminated hours worth of discussions about what we should watch.
