My mom wrote this in my baby book as my favorite song. Wayne’s World had just come out and launched it back in the zeitgeist. She watched the video countdown on VH1 with me everyday and said this was the song I reacted to the most.
my dad loves queen, closely followed by the bee gees. as a kid i loved queen, especially bohemian rhapsody. i had no idea what it was about but the randomness of the song and the theatricality was what I loved.

I’ve been getting super into The Bee Gees, Todd Rundgren, Marvin Gaye, etc the last few years. It’s really fun to play them for my mom and hear her talk about how she danced to Fanny (Be Tender With My Love) at her prom etc.
One of my favorite weekend activities! Here’s this weeks haul. It reminds me of going to the video store as a kid and gives me shopping vibes and I have a whole weekend of entertainment and did spend a cent.
