For my 30th birthday this year, my partner helped me set up a savings fund for a coat I wanted. After dishing out $2,110 for it I immediately started wearing it in the rain, in the snow, to run errands at Home Depot, to take out the trash — etc. Why would I spend so much and save so much money over months just to keep this thing in my closet??? No. Anything worth buying is worth using, and using it as it’s meant to be used. Pristine vintage jackets are lame; I want to see some wear and tear. Use the candle, let it burn and melt and get weird. Enjoy it. And then buy another. Rinse & repeat.

many may disagree with me but what i mean is : if you’re gonna buy things, use your things consume the things you choose to purchase.. i only say this as i have hoarder tendencies and i feel guilty when a candle runs out, but i have to remember; that is what it is meant for

I love having things
So I am quite happy with most things I own, you never know when they can come in handy. The few things I would like to get rid of, though, are things like clothes (which I need to donate) or gifts that I never really figured out what to do with but feel like I like them enough to keep around (and bc they r gifts I feel obligated to try my hardest to make it work).

SHARING THINGS YOU USE TO CHERISH WHEN THEY NO LONGER GIVE YOU THAT FEELING
I love clothes. So so much. More than some people sometimes. So of course I lowkey hoard. Lately I’ve been either giving things away or selling them. I feel like I love having stuff but over time it scares me that I’m too attached and I don’t want to hold on to things I don’t need due to some long gone feeling. Plus it doesn’t hurt to make some extra money on the side 🤷🏾‍♂️
