feels like I’ve been waiting for so long to see this and finally did at gene siskel no less. charm builds and builds throughout the whole thing and it is heartbreaking enough to make me think about it every day for the rest of my life, I’m aching!!!

Oh good god it’s another perfect movie. Every single shot was so beautifully composed I couldn’t quite even keep up, I was still processing each one by the time it changed frames. I loved the character of Arthur sensitive and a little evil, complex and also just a man with a “divining rod.” Excellent comentary on capitalism and greed. Beautifully paced film, and just overall an absolute treasure. I need to see it sixteen more times

Just watch it. Opened Letterboxd for the first time in ages just to log it and it wasn’t enough I need to scream it from every proverbial rooftop. I will be thinking about this film every day for a long, long time.

Don’t get me wrong, I love a debaucherous night on the town into the early hours of a new day but I also love being home, face washed, teeth brushed, pjs on, in bed before midnight. I spent enough dollars, I drank enough, my social battery was used an appropriate amount, and now its time for me to reward myself for a job well done and to return to my habitat
