Hotel Yowie is the cool trendy hotel everyone loves. Rittenhouse park has a bunch of nice luxury hotels around the park. Queen Village is very quaint and one of my favorite neighborhoods to walk around. The Gayborhood is also wonderful. Fitler, West Philly, Graduate Hospital, Fishtown, Little Saigon and Little Italy are also all really cool neighborhoods.

Don't stay around UT because that neighborhood is just so-so and kinda unwalkable, not much interesting stuff to check out. The Gayborhood rocks and is super central to good downtown bars/restaurants/coffeeshops, not a bad shout at all. Old City/Society Hill/Queen Village are all beautiful to walk around in, this might be my top suggestion. Otherwise, Fishtown would be nice for a stay, not too far of an Uber back and forth to UT and there's plenty of nightlife there. hmu if you need any additional recs! Union Transfer is also the best venue in the city!!

i actually don't know a thing about philadelphia so don't follow this rec... or do... but i walked around here when i saw a show at union transfer just to verify it was a real place. it is :) it's pretty close (we traveled by subway mostly, easy uber ride probably, walking might stink) so it could be worth looking around. probably not the most trendy/cool spot in philly but what other chance will u get to stay in the gayborhood...

Have a niche interest only your internet friends can relate to? Go meet up with them! Make that interest come to life chatting about it over a cup of coffee, or visit a place where that interest is the theme! It makes sense and is so much fun!
