I just started working in a new building with big windows that face other windows, and I can’t help but feel like I’m looking in a mirror all the time. we’re all just living life- making a snack in the kitchen, snuggling our pets, typing away at our computers….

this is a metaphor comparing the idea of /constant surveillance that leads to people self-policing because they are under the threat of being watched/ with /me working on my laptop with my back to a glass wall that has a busy hallway on the other side through which my supervisor walks regularly/
i mean it aint a perfect system but ill take what i can get for my silly brain
