i know this isn’t a new concept but i went to the movies on my own for the first time today (i saw “civil war”) and i genuinely enjoyed it :D you get to take your time getting ready and when to show up at the theater and you can get your own popcorn… a very fun movie experience (especially if the theater is mostly empty :D)

i get why people only think of movies as a social event, but seeing a movie in a theater alone is the most freeing and therapeutic thing that i do in my day to day life.
gone are the moments of trying to pick something that you think a group of people would like. gone is the anxiety of always thinking about what your friend is thinking of the movie as it’s going on. it’s just you and the movie. i love it

last week i bought a costco chocolate cake because i felt like it, and it was so good and it brought me so much joy. sometimes one needs to eat cake for breakfast. and that’s okay.

i’ve kept a journal since I was in elementary school and i love having a record of what was going on in my life at different points in my life, and also noticing how i handled situations and how my thought processes have changed over time. keep a journal! it’s a great way to record your life :)

i came across this series on YouTube and i fell in love it with it immediately. i was sad to learn that this show was never renewed and that it only had one season, but i enjoyed the show so much! the voice acting performances were so naturalistic and i loved the unique style of animation as well. i loved how the relationships between the characters were also very realistic and organic. all 13 episodes are available on youtube, check it out!
