Sunburn by Chloe Michelle Howarth is a beautiful book set in the 90s in Ireland. it’s a tender portrayal of first love, growing up and living in a small town. I wanted more!! I was so sad when it ended :( Anyone who has read it have any similar recs?

Nothing to See Here by Kevin Wilson is summery and heartfelt and so funny, about nannying your ex-best friend's twin stepkids who spontaneously combust. The Pleasing Hour by Lily King is a solid summer book to me, too, about an au pair in France, but maybe on the sadder side of the spectrum at times. I'd also throw in Commonwealth by Ann Patchett which has a few traumatic moments but is overall a superb read about the children in two families who spend summers together in Virginia, and how their lives change in adulthood, and it goes back and forth between the two timelines

It's been super cute so far! A grumpy x sunshine sapphic story about a failing flower farm!

in honor of St. Patrick’s day, i just finished this book about unrequited love, love at the wrong time, love again at the right time, requited friendship that ebbs and flows, etc., set in Ireland in the early aughts. and i am weeping! it’s very funny and heartwarming and precise, definitely one of the better contemporary lit books i’ve read in the past year of course, read if u like Sally Rooney…

Regardless of where I am (even on holiday) I love to have my coffee outside to start my day. This is always stayed consistent no matter the season or location. At the moment, i enjoy a morning coffee on my balcony with my precious baby angel cats (yes im a cat mum), before getting ready for the day. Once I‘m ready, I usually end up going for a little walk to my local cafe for an iced oat latte. When I was living in Brighton, I would go for a daily walk to my local cafe to order an oat flat white and have sleepy chats with locals (and stroke cute dogs). I’d go sit on a bench by the local church for an hour, before starting my day.
