Did this last week, didn’t want to leave. (Disclaimer: doesn't need be to an island… somewhere you expect to feel safe and content will also work.) Scary? Intimidating? NAH! Solo vacations = not having to manage the expectations of anyone but yourself = freedom to make the trip whatever YOU want it to be. Fun! Exciting! HELL YEAH!!!

Enjoy the quiet. Don't let a lack of company stop you from doing that thing or visiting that place. I took this to the extreme this past summer & did a solo road trip down most of the US east coast, & do you know wanna know what?? I enjoyed almost every second. I can do anything now.

so freeing to know that no one is coming after you since you live in an apartment alone. sometimes responsibilities are just silly things we make up for ourselves to feel important. also so fun to consider “what if i never came back” and end up on a fun island somewhere

For my birthday this year, I booked myself a room at a nice hotel, went to dinner and drinks with friends, then took myself to a spa the next day for a massage. Ended it feeling loved, relaxed, and refreshed!

If you’re ~mentally ill~ like me, this (little known?) feature in the Health app is a GAME CHANGER. Scheduled med reminders and tracking, plus interaction warnings (including alcohol, nicotine, and cannabis)! And because I’m crazy, I also have as needed medications like Tylenol cataloged in this b. Like I said… game changer.

All I wanted for my birthday this year was a strawberry shortcake. My friend planned to bake but ran out of time, so picked up instead (special shoutout Mia’s Brooklyn Bakery btw, was delicious). Sure I know it’s maaaybe a lil basic for a cake rec, BUT… yummmmm. I ate it for breakfast the next day and the one after that too.
