just think of other situations from the past (maybe other breakups), back then it hurt, but now you're ok with it. it'll be the same this time

What has helped me is being aware that the process hurts no matter what. And also be aware that at some point it will stop hurting, to know that if it is something that you can no longer control you must let go, and from there, continue with your life, focus on yourself! New experiences bring new thoughts, you just have to stay distracted and everything will pass.

the mind can do it, rationally. but heartache is something you canā€™t think away. one day, after many months, you wake up and thinking about it doesnā€™t shake you to your core - the ā€œwhat ifsā€ donā€™t sound too good either. one random day you just wake up and itā€™s like nothing ever happened, it DID happen but itā€™s not part of you in the same way.

Thereā€™s no easy answer. I was sad about my first love for two years after it ended. Tried everything. Travel, gym, throwing myself into work. I still think about her after all this time, but after a while it just stopped hurting & started to feel like an episode from someone elseā€™s life. You Gotta make the agreement with yourself that everything that is beautiful & kind in life may one day end & transfigure into something extremely painful that can never be recovered. You just keep going & have faith that one day something even more beautiful will fly in through your window

i've met most of the people in my life, including my boyfriend, thanks to my hobbies. i'm passionate about few intellectual games (hardly their names are known in other countries), which have their own wide community
