made a playlist a while back to send to friends when they wanted an introduction to brazillian music.
I’ve put a lot of heart into this, trying to track the start of bossa nova (1950s onwards) and include all the legends and songs ranging from the national hits, all the way down to the more niche alternative type artists.

It was the first time I established a goal to listen to at least one full album a day, and be very attentive to it. I think I would like to do this "a week of a specific genre" again in the future.
And let's end with the icon of the icons, Elza Soares.
She really needs no introduction, and if you don't know her, start studying!
It was hard to choose an album but I had to go with Elza pede Passagem, I love the diverse musical influences she brings to the album, it has that flavor that only 70's Brazillian music has.
