The curation of human interaction with landscape is really cool to me, and it’s really beautiful without feeling obvious, and I love the canal I love Canyonlands for sheer scope and majesty !!! i really want to go back to voyageurs soon as well for some conoe camping :)

I grew up in the desert and was always so enchanted when we would drive a couple of hours to the mountain forests. I never wanted to leave! I moved to a little city that is surrounded by woods and has huge trees and beautiful greenery everywhere and lots of free natural parks with walking trails. There are woods behind my house where deer and other critters live. It makes me really happy 🫶 lots of waterfalls and a big lake nearby too. I do miss the mountains a lot though 💔

But I’m also like a trained field geologist and environmental educator LOL I hate hiking for intensity or for the view… I DO like hiking for nature immersion or the joy of walking
