Harry gamboa, John Berger, Mosquera, just read any artist manifesto and try to work out what’s being said, this has gotten me out of a depressive uncreative slump many a time plus sometimes the artists are actually so funny
i love art i love art i love art i love art
when i feel like shit i turn to my favorite pieces of art for answers. sometimes the answers you need are found in your favorite album. sometimes you have to go to a marina abramovic exhibition. sometimes you have to just sit with it and with yourself. i’m an atheist but this is what i imagine people read scripture for and like i get it! this shit’s crazy!
To be honest I haven't finished it yet, but what I have read has been super interesting and helpful for knowing how to approach making art of any form.
What’s stopping you from writing shitty prose on substack??? I don’t fancy myself a writer but I would love to be able to better articulate my points and I think writing consistently helps,,,,,plus It’s a fun little thing to do?
Exactly what it sounds like
