Tokyo Ghoul is one of the coooolest animes that I wouldn’t necessarily call horror, but goes into some psychologically dark places. It’s on Hulu, absolutely loved this show. I still think The Ring is all my time favorite horror movie. Early 2000’s, crime thriller energy but DEF will scratch the horror itch without some of the sexually disturbing stuff you often find with that combo

i love animated! if you like psychological horror i would definitely recommend Psycho Pass! its not a film but a great animated horror detective anime fair warning it can be a bit gore-y and i personally found the seasons after season 1 lack luster

2 AMAZING limited series on HBO Max. Chernobyl is probably one of the most impressive and scary shows I’ve watched in a while. Watchmen is comic book related but you dont have to read it to get into it. Both offer different kinds of horror and drama. If you like anime watch the 2002 version of Ghost in The Shell Stand Alone Complex, Adult Swim provided partial funding for the show so you can watch it there. If HBO and The Wire’s David Simon ever made an anime it’s probably that.

Horror is my favorite genre and I’ve posted lots of horror movie recs on my profile so I’m gonna shake it up and say the horror manga of Junji Ito. Lots of his work is body horror or surreal horror, his whole thing is taking normal and everyday things and making them unsettling. I recommend starting with one of his short story collections, because they’re accessible easy reads and give you the best picture of what he’s all about. But his magnum opus is Uzumaki, which is about a town terrorized by spirals; spirals in nature, spirals in man-made objects, spirals in the human body, etc. that eventually drive the whole town to madness. I’m also dying to read his adaptation of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein.

This is the first crossroads into actual intimacy on a date. Don’t even have to say anything. If they’re cute, just look at them and enjoy the hell out of the present moment. You’re either gonna find that moment together in pheromones and smiles or they’re gonna ask for the check. Either way is better than telling someone how many sibilings you have
