a perfect example of music that is neither 'my usual taste' nor 'targeted to my demographic' and yet it charmed me immediately. the distorted bass is so aggressive as to become soothing; lines like "i'm violently drug abusing weed" and "i'm normal / in the club dressed formal" had me rolling on the floor laughing. give Bladee a try!

I cannot explain to anyone rationally why i like this weird swedish guy and his friends so much. it should not be this way but the album Icedancer by Bladee is like therapy to me. i swear the rest of my taste in music is so good. NO! I wont apologize bladee is good too. you just wish you were on my level. if you are reading this and don't know who i'm talking about honestly don't check him out you will probably not like it and then just judge me for my (correct) opinion

An extremely manic album that transforms many of the current sensibilities in underground rap (specifically in regards to production considering the return of the inclusion of WOD beats) into a dialogue about fame, drugs and their effect on mental illness, and an esoteric, dreamy and hopeful version of nihilism. Iโ€™m only on my first listen but itโ€™s definitely one my favorites out of his catalogue already. This one truly proves he canโ€™t make something normal no matter how hard he tries and it confirms why I appreciate him as an artist so much.

avoid decision fatigue by leaving the song choices to the disc jockey, and bask in the glow of real-time music curation. the less corporate the radio station, the better (love a good college/independent radio station); shake up your genres (jazz and classical radio always get me going), but also don't be afraid to indulge in Top 40 because it's good to find out what's "going on" in pop. level up with a shower radio. good luck and godspeed ๐ŸŽต
