The dogs that have entered my life

I never realized how much I was lacking animal companionship until my best friend made me an uncle and my lover introduced me to her dog. These beautiful creatures miss me and I miss them when we aren’t together. They snuggle into the nooks of my body and fall asleep, affirming the safe space I try to hold with myself. They want to play and lick and jump and that gives me so much hope! While I may be an expectant cat mother, i was a dog person first. This is Douille, my best friends puppy and one of my favorite beings alive ♥️

dashi: my tiny prince

He’s 16 lbs and truly believes he’s the size of a Malamute, has a beautifully bitchy husky way of talking back for no reason, loves to snug, and - can you believe - he’s almost 9 years old! Also, when he’s feeling awkward, high-fives build his confidence and it’s incredibly cute. Tiny hype man.
