Here are the movies I watched on the plane from Brisbane, Australia —> London, England, starred for their merit as in-flight entertainment. Please lmk ur fave plane movies!!!
Theatre Camp ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It was so fun to introduce this modern classic to Bridget, who is a reformed theatre kid, like me. We pressed play on our seat-back monitors at the same time and swigged vodka/lemonade every time someone said ”Joan”.
You Hurt My Feelings ⭐️⭐️
I’m sure I would love this film under other circumstances, but it was too quiet to cut through the sound of parents trying to get their baby to sleep.
The Adults ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
J’adore a drama famille. The silly voices & childhood dance routines were all the more sublime 40,000 ft above sea level.
Love, Simon ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Usually, I loathe a coming-out narrative, but 21 hours into our transit, all I needed was to hear Jennifer Garner say the words “You deserve everything you want.”
The Wizard Of Oz ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
First-time screening!!!! Despite never having watched the film before, I have somehow developed a ghost imprint of the entire thing in my head, probably from seeing clips of it in other movies. Watching it during our descent into Heathrow felt like being read a bedtime story as a child, knowing to trace the words with my fingers but not knowing what they meant until Mum spoke them aloud.
