Every time my feet are cold I remember that my 4th/5th grade bestieās mom would say āmy feet are cold, my teeth are gold, I have a bird I like to holdā (dr. suess I believe) and would hold her finger out and weād perch our fingers on it like the legs of a little bird. Or sometimes sheād hold her whole forearm out and weād use our whole hands like bird claws. we had to adjust our approximation of a bird to the size of the perch she offered.
anyway I was just reading on my fire escape and went out there without my slippers on so I was like ādamn my feet are cold.

Idk why I memory holed this but I yelled this to my mom while watching the TV and I was really impressed at my ability to make up a rhyme??? And I guess I held onto it in childhood because I remember realizing it was a reliably dated very early memory. im pretty sure 3 year olds know their age so Iām pretty sure itās a real memory but never confirmed there is an episode where Clifford turns 3 (he is canonically 2 years old tho)
Very odd memoryā¦everything about it is āgoldenā when I think of it in my mind. must be pretty cool to be that New To Earth

* my dog Maddie licking cherry pie off of my hands
* my parents were having their annual Christmas party and I was standing in a dark bathroom with a crack of light coming in from the hall, watching my own reflection in the mirror as my nose bled (sounds sinister but I think I was just having a nosebleed)
* clown at the county fair psychologically traumatized me by i got your nose-ing me and another clown painted my nose red. I couldnāt get the face paint off when I got home and I was in tears
* I was mad that my sister had been born. the doctor at the hospital tried to amuse me by blowing up a glove into a balloon animal. my dad and I went home from the hospital for the night and i opened up some presents my grandparents had sent me and my dad and I rented the Barney movie from Blockbuster lol
* another one which may be the earliest but I shanāt share itā¦ nobody needs to know the melancholy of little Tate R. Hole

Hard to tell if its a real memory or an implanted one but I think it was my 2nd birthday party and I had a stye and a cake shaped like a ladybug and I was going down a slide with my friends.
If not that memory than for sure the memory of my first funeral at 5. I wore an itchy pink sweater and black skirt.

truly Americaās pastime. I was reading in the park earlier and overheard a girl dishing about a breakup to her friend who was kinda implying she was in the wrongā¦ and she was like āso did I lie? Yes. But I meant it at the timeā and then explained to her friend how the NYT connections puzzles work. I only hope people are as thrilled when they listen in on my crazy ass. I love being nosy

really just stretching your whole body so intensely youāre using muscles you didnāt even know you had and squeaking like a little mouse. wiggling like a worm on the sidewalk after it rains when you poke it with your shoe, but a little slower. maybe more snake than worm. but to each their own
