Circling back on this. This place is dope. Totally worth checking out if you are looking for something different and interesting to do in Boston. Its got multiple floors where different antique sellers have lots with a variety of stuff like furniture, framed posters/art and knick knacks and you never know what you'll see. It also has a used bike shop in the basevent where my old roommate and I both bought quality bikes for under $500 back 5+ years ago. It’s not too far from the Lechmere stop on the green line so it’s pretty easy to get to too.

there's so much good art for cheap that ends up in local antique malls. when i was decorating my first apartment in nashville, i went to one in an outer suburb and got this sick midcentury abstract print that was signed by the artist and already framed. i dont have any better pics of it but trust me it really ties my living room together

Furnish Green in Chelsea has a huge inventory. Bedford Galleries is reasonable and has a bunch of midcentury. Ry Modern is mad pricey but his stuff is so good, so I get it. Rubbish rarely posts, but nice stuff. Dobbin St is fine. haven't shopped there much.

Antique shops have a special place in my heart because it reminds me of my childhood road trips. When I was little, I always thought antique shops were just useless junk. As I grew older, I’ve learned to appreciate the “junk” a bit more. Browsing through the aisles, they kind of feel like a time machine. My top things to look out for are vintage cameras, dutch ovens, and vintage porcelain.

Just because I see a window to get across the street doesn’t mean you don’t have to look both ways. I’ve been on the other side of that though…

I met Erin (@RIOTGRRRL) and Jake (@SLOWDAZZLE) last year after I started using PI.FYI—we organized a meetup before a Jonathan Richman show and immediately clicked over our shared taste in music and similar sensibilities. We started hanging out a lot and had some great times together. I’ve also gotten to know many of their friends, who are all really cool. Erin and Jake started dating a couple of months after the three of us became friends, but our group chat still pops off. Their friendship has meant a lot to me, especially since moving to NYC in 2023, and I really appreciate having them in my life.
