although the piano, strings, chill rhythm, muted bass, even initial melody seemingly convey a slow realisation of one’s happiness and the sort of hopefulness of more — at least, that’s what I’m feeling — there’s also a kind of pain when tim almost laments “eu amo você” or “i love you”. it’s a bit like a tug of war between the simultaneous joy and pain of loving and trying to compel another to understand this love.
