Starting those creative projects you've thought about but held off on for whatever reason

Just did this last night and honestly this happens every time. I have a creative project I want to do . . . Maybe get it started . . . . But then let so much time go by before I work on it again or even complete it (if it's not a long term thing). You deserve to see your efforts accumulate! Sometimes I feel a little bad doing something purely for myself but ykw, even when I'm not doing it I'm not really doing anything else worthwhile. So just . . . Do it. There is no try.

Using other forms of art as procrastination

I need to write. Sit down and write. AHH TOO STRESSFUL. So instead I’ll make a song or dumb graphic design or a craft. You (🧠) will never see it as good and worthwhile because you are, in fact, procrastinating your real work and passion BUT everybody else will think “wow, they are just always making something” it’s a win win

holding yourself back when making a creative project

It's way too easy to over-write, over-paint, over-create. Just because it felt easy doesn't mean that it's bad. In fact, that zen feeling of inspiration *should* feel effortless. Don't let your work ethic ruin something good. At the very least, step back before you do more. If it needs more work, you'll know the next time you look at it.
