It’s central to anywhere in America you want to be, but there’s so much going on here you’ll always have new things to do. Just as long of a commute to Manhattan as Brooklyn or Queens, but half the price. Cheap food, weird drinking laws, cuter than you’d expect by a lot. Where my Philadelphia heads at?
God damn I love this city!!!! Come here and ride septa or just WALK everywhere!!!! run along the river, read a book in Clark park, have a fantastic cocktail, go to an underground horror movie show, see a comedy show at a weird dive bar and YES YOU CAN DO ALL THIS IN NYC BUT COME DO IT HERE INSTEAD.
the humidity in the summer makes it (and the entire east cost tbh) iffy but its v gay, and decent access to greenery and healthcare! very community oriented as well so you'll find your people much easier than other big cities.
Have a niche interest only your internet friends can relate to? Go meet up with them! Make that interest come to life chatting about it over a cup of coffee, or visit a place where that interest is the theme! It makes sense and is so much fun!
