Today marks the one year anniversary of me growing out my natural hair 🥳 I've been keeping it short since 2019 and wanted a change this time last year. Really loved watching my fro grow 🌻
Been growing my hair for out for some time, after having it (boy-) short.
Got some highlights and I am loving life more than ever.
glad I got to know me and finally love myself 💕💕
i haven’t had my natural hair color for a little more than 6 years, but i’m growing it out now. it’s such an interesting process of seeing what’s changed, what’s stayed the same — return to myself and aging 🧬
Funny (tragic) how I (my mom) kept it short my whole life until I graduated college and I decided to grow it out and discovered that my hair’s very curly!
Ngl it’s so expensive and so much more work to maintain compared to keeping it short but I’ve gotten used to it. I also think I got lucky in figuring out a good routine with products that work for me pretty quickly. Growing my curls out has been transformational and absolutely worth it. Compliments from others is always nice but trust that no one loves my hair more than meeeeeee
We don’t talk about the short-haired version of me in the past lmao the glow-up was REAL
For my first recommendation I'll share the fact that being a beginner is awesome!!! Be awkward!!! Be Bad!!! Whatever you do, just do the thing you want to and embrace all the mess ups, failures, success, and whatever else it brings!!! 🌻
