tilda swinton is a hysterically funny hurricane and julio torres (the legend who gave us SNL’s Papyrus) is inimitable. truly a one-of-a-kind film about the horrors of the American immigration system and capitalism that you cannot go see fast enough!

i want to kiss julio's brain SO bad. i loved everything: the theatrics, ale's fantastical way of processing information, the toy concepts, the perseverance of inherently artistic dreamers, the colors, tilda swinton etc etc etc. and it's sooo relatable to me, as a latina who once dreamed of emigrating, and the child of protective parents 😭 couldn't recommend it enough

Crouching tiger, hidden dragon

wowowow I watched this for the first time last night and loved it. I knew it was groundbreaking at the time, but what I didn’t expect was to see such a beautiful variety of landscapes and for it be have such romance. The choreography is insane and it was so refreshing to watch action that isnt cgi to the max.
